Here is how the work lines up. Our Canadian location scouts keep a working database of over 5,000 pre-scouted and verified sites across all ten provinces and three areas, with continual refresh as new builds, restorations and access agreements come online. Vancouver and the Lower Mainland deliver Stanley Park, Granville Island, Gastown, Coal Harbour, the Burnaby and Coquitlam suburban looks that double for any North American city, plus UBC campus, Deer Lake and the Sea-to-Sky corridor to Whistler.

Here is the layout. Toronto and the GTA cover the CN Tower, Distillery District, Toronto Islands, Kensington Market, Casa Loma, the ROM, AGO, High Park, Roy Thomson Hall and Riverdale's brownstone blocks that have stood in for New York since the 1980s. Montreal layers Old Montreal cobblestone, the Plateau, Mile End, Mont Royal, Notre-Dame Basilica and the Quartier des Spectacles. Calgary brings downtown, Stampede grounds, Heritage Park and Inglewood, while the Banff / Jasper / Lake Louise / Moraine Lake / Bow Valley / Peyto Lake circuit delivers the iconic Canadian Rockies under Parks Canada permitting.

Here is how the work shapes up. East of Ontario and into the areas the location library deepens further. Quebec City's UNESCO Old Town gives us Petit Champlain, the Plains of Abraham and Château Frontenac. Halifax pairs with Lunenburg UNESCO, Peggy's Cove and the Cape Breton Highlands / Cabot Trail circuit. Newfoundland delivers the St. John's row houses, Iceberg Alley, Cape Spear, L'Anse aux Meadows UNESCO and Gros Morne UNESCO. Winnipeg brings the Forks, the Exchange District and the Manitoba Legislature.

Here is how it adds up. The Yukon adds Whitehorse, the Klondike, Bonanza Creek and Tombstone Territorial Park, and Nunavut delivers Iqaluit, Pond Inlet and Pangnirtung for high-Arctic work. Permit pre-clearance runs through provincial commissions (Creative BC, Ontario Creates, SODEC, Alberta Film, Manitoba Film & Music, Yukon Film & Sound, Film Nova Scotia, NL Film), city film offices in each major city, Parks Canada for federal covered sites, DFO Fisheries and Oceans for marine work and Transport Canada SFOC for drone-aerial scouting.

AFN First Nations, Inuit ITK and Métis MNC pre-consultation is structural on any traditional-area shoot — we open the conversation at the scouting stage so consent, cultural protocol and language-consultation lead-times are baked into the schedule the production sees on day one.
