Professional film equipment rental in Canada

Here is how the work lines up. Productions shooting across Canada — from downtown Toronto and Montreal's Plateau neighbourhood to the remote wilderness of the Northwest Territories — need reliable equipment that arrives on time and performs without issue at every stage of the shoot day. Our rental inventory covers cinema-grade cameras, professional lighting systems, audio gear, and grip equipment, all kept to broadcast and theatre specs. We serve story features, commercial shoots, documentary teams, and broadcast productions, providing complete packages or individual line items depending on what your production needs.

Inventory selected for prairie winters, Rockies wind, and humid Toronto summers — every body and head built to outlast the location.

Camera Equipment includes cinema bodies, prime and zoom lenses, and the support systems your DP needs for a controlled, efficient shoot. Our Lighting Equipment catalogue covers LED, HMI, and tungsten systems suited to interior and exterior setups across Canada's shifting climate and light conditions. For location shoots away from mains power, our Power Solutions ensure every department stays working, while the Data Management inventory — including redundant drives and secure on-set backup systems — protects your footage from the moment it leaves the camera.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What equipment do you have available?

We source from Panavision Toronto, William F. White, Sim Video, and other major Canadian rental houses. Current inventory access includes ARRI Alexa 35 and Mini LF, RED V-RAPTOR and Komodo, Sony VENICE 2—plus the full lens ecosystem from Zeiss Supreme to Cooke S7 to Angenieux zooms. Lighting runs from ARRI SkyPanel X to M-series HMIs to Astera tubes. Audio is Lectrosonics, Wisycom, Sound Devices. If it is in professional use, we can get it.

Do you provide technical support during the shoot?

The company provides phone support for all packages while technicians will be available on set for building complicated structures. The camera preparation takes place on the previous day when the AC team should be available for the shoot—we do't send untested gear to set. If something fails during the shoot, rental houses in Toronto can usually swap units same-day. Regional shoots are trickier, so we build in backup gear for anything mission-critical.

Can you create custom equipment packages?

That's the default. DPs spec their camera packages, gaffers pull their lighting orders, sound mixers have their preferred wireless frequencies. We coordinate across departments so everything works together—matching power draws to generator capacity, confirming lens coverage for the sensor size, making sure wireless audio and video don't conflict. The package fits the show, not the other way around.

What is included with equipment rental?

Batteries charged and tested, media cards formatted, cables and adapters for whatever you're plugging into. Cases for transport, expendables like gels and diffusion on request. We include backup bodies for cameras and backup transmitters for audio—the stuff that saves the day when Murphy's Law kicks in. Setup support and walkthroughs for crew who haven't used specific gear before.

How does pricing and insurance work?

The Canadian rental houses operate based on daily rates which provide discounted prices for weekly bookings starting from the fourth or fifth day of rental. We quote in USD, all-in except for damage waivers. The equipment requires production insurance which accepts most international policies but Canadian houses need to see the certificate before they will release the content. The amount of deposits differs between basic packages which require little to no deposit and high-value lenses and specialty items which need larger deposits.
