Our gaffers and chroma ops run even Kino Flo, ARRI SkyPanel and Aputure Nova P600c washes for back-screen separation, build precise rim and edge lighting on talent at steady stop ratios, and place Mo-Sys StarTracker, Vicon and OptiTrack reference markers plus HDRI probes at the plate stage so downstream compositors lock into the right perspective and lighting solve.

Calgary Film Centre and the Sky Studios Vancouver lot extend the same workflow into Alberta. The Lower Mainland for shoots that need cyclorama scale outside the legacy hubs, and our coordinators schedule W. F. White and Sim Digital lighting and grip packages so blue screen alternates (used routinely for blonde hair or wardrobe collisions) ship to set on the same call sheet.

Here is what we have to work with. The handoff to post is the part that decides whether a key holds. Our deliverable pipeline routes ProRes 4444 XQ or ARRIRAW masters into DNEG Vancouver, ILM Vancouver, Pixomondo Toronto, Method Studios, Image Engine Vancouver, Rodeo FX Montreal, Hybride Saint-Hyacinthe, SpinVFX Toronto, Folks Montreal, Mavericks VFX and the Mr. X / Wolfe Productions VFX bay. Oscar-credited houses that handle Nuke, Fusion and After Effects keying, despill, edge matte cleanup and full CG settings integration.

Here is the layout. French-language shoots running through MELS pick up bilingual EN/FR matte review with francophone compositors at Rodeo FX, Hybride and Folks, and our coordinators carry the CAVCO certification, CPTC 25% federal labour, PSTC 16% foreign-labour and Ontario OPSTC 21.5% (or BC PSTC 28% + DAVE 16% + 6% regional, Quebec QPSTC tiered) tax-credit forms from first chroma test through final composite delivery.

Here is how the work shapes up. Where the brief calls for tracking markers and clean plates on many wraps a day, we run two shooting units in parallel across Pinewood Toronto's T1 and the Vancouver Film Studios cyclorama so VFX vendors are not waiting on principal photography to start their key passes.
