Toronto's pool runs through the Sheridan College (Oakville) animation lineage — the program that fed Pixar, DreamWorks and Disney for three decades — and feeds boards into Cinespace Brampton, Pinewood Toronto and the streaming production stack working out of Distillery District edit bays.

Vancouver's pool is heavier on previs because the city hosts the Marvel and Lucasfilm subcontractor bench: DNEG Vancouver, Image Engine, Method Studios and Scanline VFX all keep storyboard and previs departments that have shipped Deadpool, Star Trek Discovery, The Last of Us and the Halo series out of Bridge Studios and Vancouver Film Studios.

Here is what that looks like on the ground. Montreal adds the francophone and animation-heritage pool — illustrators trained through the NFB Office national du film tradition, Cinésite Montreal and the Framestore Montreal expansion — and is the natural home for bilingual EN/FR board work serving Telefilm Canada and SODEC-financed shoots that need to deliver in both languages.

Here is how the picture comes together. Our team lines up board work across all three hubs and ties output directly into the virtual-production pipelines now standard on Canadian shoots. Pixomondo Toronto's The Vol LED stage at Cinespace pulled storyboard and previs integration into the core of each Star Trek Strange New Worlds and Discovery episode shot there.
